'Keeping Children Safe in Education'

With our teaching, recruitment, and HR experience since early 1990's, screening quality candidates and ascertaining their suitability for your specific requirement is paramount.

ALL OUR STAFF WHO RECRUIT FOR SCHOOLS HAVE PASSED THE 'Safer Recruitment in Education' NSPCC course.

Initially we do a telephone interview to ascertain the candidate's suitability for work; only when we are satisfied will we book to meet with them.

Suitable candidates are interviewed face-to-face by one of our recruitment professionals.

We ascertain the following:

  • Suitability of working in their desired role
  • Viewing of photo ID documents to ascertain suitability to work in the UK
  • Viewing all documents for the qualification they have applied to do?
  • How up-to-date is their safeguarding training - booking them on our course if necessary?
  • What client/role would be suitable - matching their criteria to a specific position?
  • What they are qualified to work as - i.e teacher, nursery nurse, teaching assistant  etc...
  • What they are experienced to work as - i.e cleaner, caretaker, admin etc..
  • Previous work history going back at least 15 years, clarifying any breaks in employment
  • Clarifying all reasons for leaving employment
  • Understanding the candidate - having the passion for working with children not just a job
  • Where is the candidate in their training - liaising with Headteacher and being honest i.e NQT requiring induction?
  • Liasing with the Headteacher (designated school contact) and being open and honest about potential candidates and their suitability and needs
  • Clarifying any disciplinary, competency, criminal convictions or other areas for suitability for the role applied for
